Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 May 2026

1. Who we are

Callsheet Rates ("the calculator", "we", "us") is a free web tool operated by Callsheet, an Australian business. It provides rate-card reference outputs for Australian screen and advertising production work. Our contact address is admin@callsheet.com.au.

2. What the calculator is — and is not

The calculator is a reference tool. It surfaces published rate cards (MEAA TVC Standard Contract 2024, CGA Guideline 24 Sep 2024, MEAA Voiceover Rate Card 1 Jul 2025) and applies standard tax and employer-cost calculations (PAYG FY 2025-26, Super Guarantee Act 1992, state payroll tax and workers compensation rates). Every output cites the primary source.

The calculator is not:

  • Legal advice.
  • Accounting or taxation advice.
  • A substitute for a qualified entertainment lawyer, MEAA industrial officer, or registered tax agent.
  • A guarantee that any rate, tax calculation, or compliance output is current, complete, or applicable to your specific engagement.

Rate cards are updated periodically by MEAA, CGA, and the ATO. We update the calculator when we become aware of changes, but there may be a lag. Always verify figures against the primary source before executing a contract.

3. Accuracy and liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the calculator accurate, but we make no warranty — express or implied — as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any output.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010), Callsheet is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on a calculator output, including but not limited to:

  • Underpayment or overpayment of performers.
  • Incorrect payroll tax, super, or workers compensation obligations.
  • Penalties, interest, or legal costs arising from a compliance failure.

Nothing in these terms excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the calculator to:

  • Estimate costs for TVC, digital, or audio productions involving Australian performers.
  • Generate and download PDF cost reports for internal use.
  • Share quote links with colleagues.

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the calculator via automated means.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the API, or send requests that interfere with service availability for other users.
  • Represent calculator outputs as legal, accounting, or industrial relations advice to third parties.
  • Use the tool for any purpose that is unlawful under Australian law.

5. AI suggestions (Callie)

The calculator includes an AI assistant ("Callie") powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Callie generates contextual compliance nudges based on your current quote configuration. These suggestions are informational only. They are not legal or taxation advice. Anthropic processes the quote configuration (not your name, email, or any personal identifier) in accordance with their privacy policy.

6. Intellectual property

The rate card data surfaced by this calculator is sourced from published MEAA, CGA, and ATO documents. We do not claim ownership of that data. The calculator's code, design, and UI are owned by Callsheet. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercialise them without written permission.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the calculator after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
