Plain-English summary
Callsheet Rates is a free rate calculator. No account. The calculator stores nothing about your quotes on our server · the numbers you configure live in your browser URL.
Four things can leave your browser. The first is always on; the rest happen only if you opt in.
- Waitlist signups are stored. If you submit the form, we store your email plus a handful of fields (timestamp, which calculator you signed up from, IP, user agent, consent flag). Full list below. Your email is used to notify you of rate card updates and the platform launch. Not sold, rented, or shared.
- Callie (AI assistant) sends your current quote to Anthropic. When the Suggestions panel fires, the quote configuration (no email, no name, no identifier) is POSTed to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a nudge. Under Anthropic's standard API terms, they do not train on inputs and retain prompts for up to 30 days for abuse review.
- PDF + cheat sheet downloads with email capture. If you type an email into the PDF download form or the cheat sheet gate and tick the consent box, we store the same fields as a waitlist signup (email, timestamp, which surface you downloaded from, IP, user agent) under a source label like "rates/project/pdf". The PDF or cheat sheet downloads either way · email is optional.
- Saved quotes (magic links). If you use "save this quote" to get a permanent shortlink, we store the base64-encoded quote state plus your IP and user agent, keyed to a random short ID. The save requires an explicit consent tick. The saved row is keyed by short ID, not by anything that identifies you personally, unless you also opt to include an email.
Every request also hits Vercel (our hosting provider, US edge) and Neon Postgres (Sydney region) as part of normal infrastructure. Vercel sees request headers and your IP for routing; Neon sees query data. We do not log request bodies or responses beyond the storage paths listed above.
What we collect
- Email address · only if you submit the waitlist form.
- Source page · which calculator drove the signup (e.g. rates/voiceover). Helps us prioritise which tools to work on next.
- Timestamp of signup.
- IP address and browser user agent· used for spam and abuse detection. Not exposed to other users. Stored alongside the row until you unsubscribe or request deletion (there's no automated purge cron yet · email us and we'll delete on request).
- Consent flag · the explicit opt-in you ticked at signup, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (AU).
What we don't collect
- Tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party pixels. None.
- Your name, phone, company, address, or any financial data.
- A persistent copy of any quote you build. Your configuration lives in your browser URL. It touches our server in two moments: (a) when you click Download PDF · we render and stream it back, then discard, and (b) when Callie fires a suggestion · we relay the configuration to Anthropic's Claude API and return the response. Neither is logged or persisted.
How we use your email
Two things, both explicitly consented to at signup:
- Notify you when MEAA or CGA publishes a new rate card so the calculator defaults stay current.
- Notify you when the full Callsheet platform (beyond the rate calculator) launches.
That's it. No weekly newsletters, no promotional content, no third-party offers.
How to unsubscribe or delete your data
Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link (required by the Spam Act 2003). Click it and your row is flagged as unsubscribed · sending stops immediately.
To request permanent deletion of your row (not just unsubscribe), email admin@callsheet.com.au from the address you signed up with and we'll remove it within 7 days.
Where your data lives
Waitlist signups are stored in a Postgres database hosted in Australia (Neon, Sydney region). Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.
Legal basis
We collect and process your email on the legal basis of your explicit consent (Privacy Act 1988 and GDPR Art. 6 §1(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe mechanism above.
